Many Paths

I am not a writer, so bear with me. I have had a unique way of experiencing this thing we call life. I move to a new home, city or state every couple of years. I have been immersed in a variety of flavors, people, landscapes and opportunities. Each brought a blessing and purpose on my journey.

My life is shaped mostly by the different places I have lived and the wonderful souls I have met along the way. Moving was not originally in my blood. I lived in the same house until I graduated college. After college till now, my residences have included the east coast, mid west, west and west coast! I have walked many paths.

What I have learned is Love God, Love yourself and love you neighbor as yourself. I found happiness. But do you really find happiness? You just know when you do. Close your eyes and feel the blessings around you. You are blessed. Uncover yourself like peeling away the layers of an onion. It can be flaky, transparent and make you cry but your gift is found within. Your gift is shiny and sparkles like a star twinkling in the night sky. How beautiful you are. You possess the beauty of the universe.

You are only on this earth for a short time. Make it wonderful. Become you own best friend, slow down and enjoy the moment and have an open mind. Yes, these are important life lessons indeed.

This wisdom must be experienced in order to truly know it. Soak in the joy, the laughter and the beauty of the world. We all develop our own coping. Don’t be in a fog, be mindful of your day.  Joy will appear in simple places. Look for it, expect it. Listen to the melodies of the birds singing in nature, look at the bright twinkling of the stars, feel the warm sunshine on your face and begin to embrace “A simple life well done”. In a short while, we will all take flight. Their will be more abundant beauty than ever. What is more beautiful than beauty?
